"Sensory Pathway: Reimagining Accessibility in Public Spaces" is an adaptive reuse proposal for the Lower Hutt, Queensgate shopping centre. This proposal addresses the need for sensory accessibility in public spaces, where current design standards fail to support neurodiverse experiences. Guided by the 'Six Feelings' and 'ASPECTSS' Frameworks, the work utilises a number of spatial strategies, such as acoustics, spatial sequencing, zoning andĀ escape, to offer an improved experience navigating and travelling through the centre.
