The word performance can describe a thing and also an action. It can also describe a practice (strategy, process) and an outcome. This project unpacks understanding of performance. Inviting students to analyse the ways that it can be created and produced using a range of technologies, applications and strategies. Students will create a proposal for a new performance or installation work located within (or using) a shipping container to be shown at The Performance Arcade. This new work will engage with the tools and processes introduced in class and build on these to create a performance design installation responding to an excerpt from the Wellington Writers walk.
